Super Paper Mario [9/10]

Graphics: 7/10

Story: 10/10

Overall Gameplay: 8/10

Music: 10/10

One of the many New Gen Mario games that was released recently was Super Paper Mario. Me and my bro played through this one and had a hell of a good time with it. Even though it wasn't an RPG this time around, we still had as much fun with it as any of the other Paper Mario games because it kept the same style.

The graphics were the same as the previous game with few improvements, not that thats a bad thing though. I love the paper-like graphics, it helps keep the feel and style of the Paper Mario titles.

Like the previous title; the story was dramatic, well thought out and comical which is my favorite type of plot for any video game. I don't see any flaws with it, except maybe a somewhat repetitious feel of the princess being captured again...even though she is rescued early in the game.

The gameplay was nice, but I liked the whole RPG element a lot better than side scrolling. I can see why they did this though; to introduce the Paper Mario games to a different style. It worked out pretty well this time...but I'm not sure it will have the same effect if they have a similar sequel.

The music was fitting, cool, and dramatic when it needed to be. I love tracks that fit perfectly with the situation, and this game did just that. My favorite themes were the "Flipside" and the "Count Bleck" themes.

The gameplay consisted of classic sidescrolling Mario style with a unique twist of different elements. I thought it was pretty decent and I had a lot of fun playing the game.

I would suggest this game if your fimiliar with the franchise, otherwise you probably won't get the humor. ^__^
