This is the first Spyro game. No the first Spyro game wasn't Year of the Dragonfly or New Beginning it was this. This was when Insomniac games first created our small purple dragon hero and sent him on a quest to kick ass and breathe fire. Actually, thats pretty much the game summed up for you. The plot was comical, a theme that continued in later titles and the gameplay was straight forward but fun.

The graphics were alright, but it's understandable since this was the first instalment to the franchise.

The music was classic and very fitting. I've always loved Stewart Copeland's work in the Spyro games. I sometimes whistle the main theme at school because its so ketchy!

T'was a good game, and is recommended to all. Even you stingy New Gen gamers; you gotta know your roots!
